Song Skipper 2.0 Now Available
Song Skipper 2.0 is here — and it comes with a new name. VibeCtrl is now Song Skipper: the same app that automatically skips songs in the Music app by artist, album, genre, or thumbs down, with a clearer name that says exactly what it does.
Your media keys, your Music. Turn on “Media keys always control Music” in the new More tab and the Play/Pause, Next, and Previous keys on your keyboard control the Music app even while Safari or another app is playing audio.
The interface has been redesigned from the ground up: a cleaner, fully native panel with a live status indicator, a proper rule list with search, right-click or swipe to delete, and a settings-style More tab. You can change a rule’s match mode — exact, contains, starts with, or ends with — any time from its context menu, and the app remembers the tab you were on.
Song Skipper remains free to try with up to 3 skip rules, and unlimited rules are still a one-time purchase — you’ll now see the actual price before you buy. Version 2.0 is fully localized in English, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese, and it’s available now on the Mac App Store.
